Mindfulness solo retreat TanzaniaWhen you have the feeling you are getting stuck in the relationship with yourself, your work, your relation, your children or maybe you are wrestling with the questions of life, depression and/or fatigue, maybe it is time for a break.

Or you are satisfied with your life, but you would like to invest in getting more control over your own world of thoughts and feelings. Also if you have the feeling you have tried everything, but nothing helped to become more relaxed or happier, you are very welcome.

A different view on your “problems”

Come to Tanzania and discover how to come to a completely different view and experience of your “problems”. It’s not strange you need a breather every now and then, and that you feel the need to step out of familiar and obstructive habits and patterns. In this way you are making space for quality time and travel inward, to get clarity on what’s in your way, to feel what needs to be felt, to clean the roots of those feelings and to set inspired steps to walk the old way differently or to find a new way altogether.

I believe that the setting of a structured form of self-examination has a lot to offer. It is important to develop independency in this, so when life is challenging you, you can always fall back on it.

The method I am offering as coach, mindfulness and meditation teacher, is life changing and will lead guaranteed to more control over your mind, happiness and clarity. To experience that in greatest depth, you now have the opportunity to spend a longer period of time with me.

For this mindfulness solo retreat you are welcome in my romantic house in Mwanza, Tanzania. My house is right at Lake Victoria.

7.30 uur: body exercises (bio-energetics, yoga)
8.00 uur: breakfast and shower
9.00-12.00 uur: coaching program and meditations
12.00-16.00: free
16.30-18.30: individual sessions (2-3 per week) or time for independent practice of the instructions from the morning program.
The evenings are free

The meals and the house are being taken care of by Leonarda. We will have our breakfast and dinner together. The lunch is open.

What you may expect

Staying in a cosy house or safari tent with a lovely porch and a large, beautiful garden full of flowers, fruit trees and herbs. The garden is vibrating of bird life, wagtails, sun birds, pigeons, ibises and bee-eaters. Also you will find colorful lizards. A pair of birds of pray is flying up and down from the nest.

Nice, warm climate, so you will be outdoors a lot

Your own room with wifi or you can stay in the sahara tent with your own veranda in the garden

Balanced, well-tried coaching tailor made program:

  • Every morning body exercises and/or meditation techniques
  • Coaching walks
  • 2 individual coaching sessions a week (If you are staying one week, you will have 3 sessions)
  • Insight in your mind and how to become and stay master of your own mind
  • Exercises to work out independently

What not to expect

  • Full silence. Most of the time it is quiet but on Sunday the Church community will be singing and sometimes you hear rhythmic music in the weekend
  • An animal free stay (there are dogs and cats)

On safari

to Serengeti, Rubondo island, Ukerewe, Gombe National Park (chimps!) or Saanane National Park.

It is possible to combine your retreat with:

  • an adventurous safari with our guide
  • or a group safari with the use of safari sharing (availability depends on the season)

About me

I have 33 years of experience as a therapist, coach, meditation teacher and counselor. In 2014 I founded Mindful Adventure, a safari company organizing off the beaten track safaris in Tanzania, combined with coaching and meditation forms like mindfulness.

My mission is to bring you in touch with your ability to clarity, love, creativity, renewal and your fundamentally happy nature.

I am very happy to show you how to take charge in a powerful way over your own mind and to find the way to an inspired and adventurous life. The wild nature of Tanzania is supporting me tremendously with that.
