Solo Retreat Intensive

Time for a break – a solo or duo retreat in Tanzania

Mindfulness solo retreat TanzaniaWhen you feel stuck in your relationship with yourself, your work, your partner, your children or you are struggling with life questions, depression and/or fatigue, perhaps it is time for a breather. Or you are satisfied with yourself and your life but would like to invest in getting more control over your own thinking and feeling. Even if you feel like you’ve already tried everything but nothing “helped” to become more relaxed and therefore happier, you are welcome to this intensive retreat. It is time for a reset.

A different view on your “problems”

Come discover in Tanzania how you can come to a completely different view and perception of your “problems.” That different perception comes once you begin to see that your personality is like a veil around your happy self. Even though the whole world shouts, “Look you are free, you are happiness, you are loving, complete and beautiful. You don’t see that lasting happiness inside as long as you are with all your attention to your thoughts, feelings, desires, ambitions, resistances and so on.

During an intensive in Tanzania, you make space for daily quality time to take a journey within. This allows you to gain clarity on what is holding you back, feel what to feel about it, cleanse the roots of it and take inspired steps to take a new path.

You make this journey with love and respect for all that presents itself. All is welcome along the way to the goal of fully experiencing the great adventure that is life and that you are.

You can only let go of what gets in your way if you first allow it. I very much believe that it has a lot to offer you if you are offered a structured form of self-examination, allow feelings, work toward a deeper understanding of your brain and develop independence in it. Then you can always fall back on it when life presents you with small or big challenges.

The method I offer you as a coach, therapist, mindfulness and meditation teacher is life-changing and guaranteed to lead to more control over your own mind/personality, your life’s happiness and more clarity.

You are welcome for this Mindfulness solo retreat intensive at my romantic home in Mwanza, Tanzania. The house is located right on Lake Victoria.

About me

I have 35 years of experience as a therapist, coach, meditation teacher and counselor. In 2014 I founded Mindful Adventure; a safari company that combines “off the beaten track” safaris in Tanzania with various coaching programs and meditation forms such as mindfulness, among others.

My mission is to get you in touch with your capacity for clarity, love, creativity, renewal and fundamentally happy nature. I also love to show you during a more in-depth solo retreat how to take powerful charge of your own mind/brain and find your way to an inspired and adventurous life.

I have discovered the piece of gold within myself

I have been introduced to this adventure, both the trip through beautiful Tanzania and through my inner/mind. I can recommend this adventure to everyone under the inspiring guidance of Alina.
All my book wisdom has been given substance and meaning. I have discovered the piece of gold within myself.

I have come to know Alina as someone who brings nature and coaching together beautifully and has a clear coaching program without making you feel like you are in a pattern. Key words would be, peace, space, new insights and enlightening.
Thanks again for the insights.

Profound, attuned, enlightening, inspiring and above all (h)honestly liberating

8 days mindfulness retreat intensive with customized personal coaching. I moved more mountains in one week than in all my years of therapy & coaching beforehand. Addition with unsolicited advice ( from my own experience & experience). Should you consider giving yourself a serious high quality coaching gift – Alina is the place to be.

“She walks the talk”

Alina, in her capacity as a therapist/coach/counselor, has a great added value beyond the “basic fact” that she is -professionally outstanding in all these matters anyway and can now draw from vast experience. That added value is, expressed in English, ‘she walks the talk’.
She has peeled and rebuilt herself over the decades, and the last big step in that profound process was the full realization of her Western conditioning by emigrating to Tanzania: throwing herself into the deep end and learning to deal with a completely different way of life and mentality.
All this makes her view on and approach to her ‘clients’ as broad and lived through as you rarely find.

You can travel all the way to Alina in Tanzania for in-depth issues or ‘just a little reset’ -this is guaranteed to be worthwhile and offers a new perspective.

I myself spent a month on retreat with Alina in 2019.

I cherish this mindfulness week for ever!

Alina is a very knowledgeable no-nonsense coach/therapist who knows how to get to the core with humor and empathy. Her own life experience and her knowledge and expertise make her a special person. I found myself back in Tanzania because of her therapy but also because of the nice stay with nice people around me. Alina is of the here and now but can show you where systems and patterns come from. I did a solo retreat and since then I am kind of reset. So definitely worth a big recommendation. Besides, Tanzania is a very special country. I also thank Alina for all the moments when we laughed really hard.

I now tell my friends “there is an Annemieke before and an Annemieke after Tanzania” and the second one is a lot healthier I can say thanks to my mindfulness vacation with Alina. Treat yourself I would say. Finally I also want to thank all the people around Alina like Leonarda, Rama and his son, they gave me an unforgettable day on the Serengeti also highly recommended. Thank you dear Alina, I cherish the mindfulness week for ever!

A life changing experience

I truly can recommend Mindful Adventure because I visited Alina for a solo retreat. A week, where I truly learned about myself by the right chosen variety of techniques (coaching, meditation, yoga, breathing exercises) that where carefully chosen to serve my personal objectives. The house is in Mwanza city, it has an amazing garden and combines nature with a more lively angle of the city. Alina made me feel really at home and showed me the beauty of Mwanza. In my solo travel afterwards, it was Alina who connected me to amazing locals who showed me the real Tanzania. Based on Alina’s recommendations, I have visited amazing and breath taking places. Her knowledge of Tanzania, passion to connect with locals as well as drive to go off the beaten path/be a part of true nature, has made my trip in Tanzania unforgettable!!
